We stayed at the hotel in July 2023
Although the hotel is a bit far from the airport, it is not connected to other resorts, so it is wonderfully peaceful.
Despite the hotel being quite full, it didn't affect our experience - there were always plenty of available seats on the beach, by the pool, and no lines at the restaurant or bars.
Access to the sea was free, the water was crystal clear, and the beach and the entire hotel complex were well-maintained.
The restaurants offered different food options every day, with a good variety to choose from.
The only minor inconvenience was the absence of self-serve soft drink machines. Instead, the staff would serve you and bring your requested drink, which actually reflects the high quality of the Movenpick hotel chain.
The staff were helpful, polite, and friendly in all aspects. Unlike other hotels in Arab countries, they never expected tips.
The only thing that slightly marred our overall impression was the settlement of the bill upon check-out.
On our last day, we rented beach towels at the pool, which were accompanied by wooden cards. Unfortunately, when we went to return the towels in the early evening, we couldn't find the wooden cards. I asked a staff member if it was a problem, as we were leaving early the next morning, and they assured me it was fine. However, upon departure, the receptionist insisted on the return of the missing wooden cards. I tried to explain the situation, but he didn't seem to understand and kept insisting that we either return the cards or pay for the towels - which was completely unreasonable. Eventually, he demanded payment for the cards/towels, which amounted to about $16 USD. It wasn't a significant amount, but it was more about the principle.
If this incident hadn't occurred, I would have given a 5-star rating, but unfortunately, I have to give a lower rating.
Other than that, there is nothing to complain about, and everything was perfectly fine.
I would still love to return to this place in the future.
