Spiaggia fiume Lao

I visited the beach on August 14th while I was in Praia, Scalea, etc. Unlike other crowded places, this beach was incredibly peaceful. It had a private parking area with a reasonable price of 4€ per car, and it was just a short distance away from the beach. It was fantastic to swim between the Lao and the sea, where the water temperature varied from hot to very cold. We had pizza right by the riverbank. The water was shallow but had a strong current even during the summer. It's advisable to bring rock shoes to fully enjoy it. With a canoe, you can have fun being pulled towards the sea or simply have your legs massaged by the cold water with pressure. The circulation will make you feel like a statue. There is a bar that offers ice creams, granitas, coffee, chips, and more. The prices are also affordable here. Overall, it's a really nice, quiet, cheap, and clean place.

The beach is absolutely stunning, with pristine waters that are crystal clear. It's truly a sight to behold! Additionally, you can unwind under the shade of the trees while sipping on a refreshing drink from the nearby kiosk.

In September, we visited the beach and found the water pleasantly warm. It was slightly cooler near the river's mouth, but still clean. Surprisingly, the beach was almost deserted, offering a peaceful atmosphere. Despite its rocky terrain, it's advisable to bring necessary precautions along with you.

The beach is a perfect backdrop for capturing those picturesque moments that match those popular Facebook phrases. The photos showcase the beautiful river that can be seen from this location. The beach is filled with gazebos and umbrellas from well-known brands like Algida, Chiquita, and Ciro bar. The more luxurious ones even have decathlon tents stocked with supplies, as if preparing for a potential third world war. The discussions taking place here cover a wide range of topics, including politics, foreign policy, Covid, insurance, and both internal and aesthetic medicine. Children and teenagers are given the freedom to spontaneously organize football matches, with the most intense ones involving small balls. On the other hand, the beach itself is quite lengthy and sandy, with some stones in the sea. I enjoyed both the refreshing cold current and the comforting warmth. The parking fee remains consistent at 4 euros, regardless of whether you arrive at 7 in the morning or 17 in the evening (as was the case for me). Unfortunately, there are no facilities nearby, such as toilets or a bar. However, I believe that this is an experience that everyone should have at least once in their lifetime. Looking forward to the next visit!
