The waters may not be crystal clear, and the sand may not be pristine, but such is the charm of Calabria's beaches. The sea may appear a bit turbid, and there may be some debris that washes up on shore, but this is all part of the natural beauty of the area. As you wade into the water, you may encounter some stones, but this too is part of the rugged charm of the beach.
Despite these minor imperfections, there are still plenty of reasons to visit this beach. For one, there is free parking along the dirt road, making it easy to access. And while the kiosk may have been abandoned on the day of my visit, it is possible that it will be up and running again in the near future. In fact, I spotted a family renting an umbrella, which suggests that the beach is still a popular destination for locals and tourists alike.
