Akoli beach

The beach is a magnificent rocky expanse, located just a kilometer's walk from the car park. It's a secluded spot with no services or restaurants nearby, and can be accessed both by foot and by sea. Most visitors arrive by boat to enjoy the crystal-clear waters and stunning scenery. Snorkeling is a must-do activity here, and you'll love exploring the underwater world. I highly recommend bringing swimming shoes as the beach is mostly pebbles, and a nice walk requires sturdy footwear. While there are some sandy spots, the majority of the beach is covered in pebbles. Flip-flops may not be the best choice for this terrain.

This beach is an absolute gem with crystal-clear waters that are a must-see. It's a highly recommended spot for those looking for a peaceful escape. However, our tranquil day was cut short by a party boat filled with boisterous British holidaymakers who were consistently loud and annoying. Needless to say, their presence was not appreciated.

After trekking and cycling through the national reserve, we stumbled upon this hidden gem just a short distance from Avlaki beach. Spotting some parked cars, we decided to follow the path, but it was no easy feat. Proper shoes or at least Tevas/regular sneakers are a must, especially after a heavy rain. The descent was particularly challenging with our bikes. On our return journey, we attempted a different route by foot/bike and stumbled upon some old, forgotten paths that turned out to be restricted areas, leading to quite an adventure! If you're up for a 30-minute hike and have some water with you, this is definitely worth a try.

This gorgeous beach boasts crystal clear waters that are simply perfect for snorkeling. Accessible only by boat or a lovely 15-minute walk along a path from the main road, it's important to wear sturdy shoes as some parts of the path can be steep and rocky. While the only downside is the occasional influx of tourist boats that bring in crowds, they typically only stick around for about half an hour before disappearing again. When the beach is boat-free, it's practically empty and an incredibly serene spot to soak up some sun and enjoy the beauty of nature. All in all, this is an absolutely lovely place to spend a day.

This stunning beach has serene and vibrant waters teeming with fish. The path leading to it is manageable, though sturdy footwear is advised over flimsy sandals. Keep an eye out for spiders, who often spin intricate webs overhead, reminiscent of a scene from a fantasy novel. While these arachnids are sizable, they pose no threat to humans. Occasionally, tourist boats will dock for a few hours, causing a bit of commotion, but otherwise, this beach is a true paradise.
