The beach is great for swimming. The water is clean and warm, and it's somewhat clear, allowing you to see the bottom as you wade in. We were aware of the presence of sea urchins, but fortunately, we didn't encounter any during our visit, possibly due to the tide and time of year (we went in mid-March). The sand is soft with only a few scattered rocks. The water is deep enough for swimming, and although there are currents, they are manageable. Overall, it is highly recommended for swimming. When we visited on a Saturday afternoon, it was pleasantly quiet. There are several beach restaurant/bars to choose from, mostly affiliated with hotels.
