Bloody Bay Beach II

I visited Jamaica for the first time in April 2022 and was amazed by the incredible hospitality of the people. The staff at the beach resort seemed to genuinely enjoy their jobs, which made the experience even more enjoyable. The jerk hut was absolutely fantastic, and the beachside pizza hut (not affiliated with Pizza Hut) was also excellent. The beach itself was absolutely superb, and the rooms had clearly been recently renovated or updated. The buffet, whether for breakfast or dinner, was top-notch and deserving of an A+. The Steakhouse was probably the best restaurant at the resort, with a great atmosphere and service, although our entrees did take quite some time to arrive. My only complaint was that the shuttle from the airport was quite disappointing due to rush hour traffic, and it took nearly three hours to reach the hotel. This was not ideal, especially if you have young children. In fact, my two-year-old had a hard time during the journey due to the traffic and winding roads. Overall, I would definitely return to this beach resort! I want to express my gratitude to the staff for providing such a memorable experience.

The check-in process may take a while, but the checkout was faster. Initially, they assigned us the wrong room, but Davion provided excellent assistance. Unfortunately, there are no elevators available. The rooms could use some updating. The food was decent. There were numerous children around. The karaoke night was incredibly enjoyable. All the staff members are genuinely kind and helpful. Living by the beach is effortless. I didn't notice any umbrella services directly on the beach. The entertainment team puts in a lot of effort. Tammy Ann was an exceptional bartender. I probably won't choose to stay here again. However, I made the most out of the experience.

Although the property itself was stunning, some of the staff members lacked friendliness, respect, and hospitality. The employees at the gift shop were particularly rude and displayed racist behavior. The rooms were well-maintained, and I especially enjoyed the fact that the mini bar was always fully stocked. Out of all the bars on the property, the pool bar in the adults-only section is definitely the best. If you ever visit, make sure to ask for Nicoy as he is the master of crafting delicious drinks. While they claim to allow late check-outs, the final decision is ultimately left to the supervisor. The nightlife entertainment is truly exceptional.

I brought my kids to this beach to celebrate all of our birthdays. It was an amazing experience since it was our first time traveling abroad. The staff at the beach were incredibly friendly and accommodating. The rooms were spacious and the activities offered were easy to book. The nightly entertainment was absolutely fantastic. We even arranged for an off-resort activity to go shopping and eat, and our driver kindly took us to places where we could capture some great pictures. I felt completely safe during our stay. (Considering it's a resort, the gift shop was quite expensive and the food was not very impressive). I am eagerly looking forward to returning and would highly recommend this hotel. (Just so you know, I used Southwest Vacations to book online, and it was the more affordable option).

While the hotel may be slightly outdated compared to other Riu hotels, the exceptional staff more than compensate for any shortcomings! The entertainment team is absolutely amazing, offering separate activities for both adults and children, which is perfect for those traveling with or without kids. We discovered that everyone was incredibly accommodating and friendly. Our room was thoroughly cleaned every day, if we desired. It was truly heartbreaking to bid farewell! I highly recommend this place for those traveling with friends, family, or as a couple.
