The parking is convenient and the bathrooms are well-maintained. The only drawback is that the water is shallow and filled with sharp rocks, so it's necessary to wear water shoes to avoid getting injured.

This beach is just like any other beach, nothing special about it. The waves were so rough today that it's not even worth trying to swim. The lifeguards are always on high alert, probably because they're bored out of their minds. And don't even think about disturbing those nesting piping plovers at the wildlife refuge next door, because apparently they're more important than you enjoying your beach day.
This beach is not the most attractive one and the parking is strictly limited to permit holders. Currently (as of summer 2020), they are not selling any permits but instead issuing fines, which is quite absurd.
