We took our three dogs to the designated dog-friendly section of the beach, and it was fantastic. The sand was nice, and there was a cool breeze, although sometimes it was a bit too strong. I definitely recommend bringing a windbreak. Some areas of the beach are pebbly, but if you find a sandy spot, it's perfect for paddling with kids and dogs. During our nightly walks across the beach, we met plenty of locals. You can easily walk to Mundesley and grab some delicious fish and chips from the Catch. This was our first time in Norfolk, and we found Bacton beach to be quite good. We also visited Holkham beach, which was lovely, but we had to walk a long way to reach the sea, and the wind was so strong that we got sandblasted.
This beach is absolutely lovely and offers a great opportunity to search for fossils, provided you have the proper tools. The Light House is also a must-see, and there is ample parking and clean restroom facilities available. However, there is quite a bit of erosion along this stretch of coastline. Additionally, there is a good pub nearby, and the local church is quite charming. If you climb to the top of the tower, you'll be rewarded with stunning views. Finally, it's worth noting that The Old Vicarage gardens, which are considered some of the best in England, are just a mile away and definitely worth a visit.
This beach is absolutely delightful for dog owners, as it is welcoming to our furry friends. The sand is plentiful and beautifully clean. Additionally, there is ample parking available and a fantastic café nearby. I must say, the vegan sausage rolls were absolutely delicious!
This stunning beach is an ideal spot for dog lovers, as it is incredibly welcoming to our furry friends. However, if you're not a fan of seeing other dogs on the sand, it might not be the best choice for you. That being said, there are designated areas where dogs are prohibited, so you can still enjoy the beach without any canine interruptions. Overall, this beach is perfect for families and offers a picturesque setting for a day spent in the sun.
This beach is a wonderful spot to observe seals in their natural habitat, however, it was disheartening to see people swimming, which prevented the seals from coming ashore and sunbathing. It is crucial that we prioritize the protection of these magnificent creatures, so they can continue to thrive in this area. Hopefully, we can work towards creating a more secure environment for them, so they don't have to seek refuge in other locations. On a positive note, the parking attendants were extremely helpful and made our visit even more enjoyable.
Today, I had the pleasure of taking a serene stroll along the stunning beach. The tranquil ambiance was only interrupted by the sight of two fellow beachgoers enjoying a leisurely walk with their furry companions. The scenery was breathtaking, and the refreshing sea breeze was invigorating. It was a truly delightful experience that I would highly recommend to anyone seeking a peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.
