Caswell beach

I've always wanted to visit Caswell Beach because it is incredibly clean and offers free parking. The beach is spacious enough for everyone to enjoy without feeling crowded, as there is plenty of room between beachgoers. The addition of a new walkway is fantastic. My first visit to Caswell was years ago when I participated in the sea turtle sanctuary watch. It was a heartwarming experience to help protect the turtles and their babies, ensuring their safety during hatching and guiding them to the water with flashlights. Being a part of the effort to maintain our sea turtle sanctuary is truly rewarding.

The only available parking option is free, but unfortunately, it is exclusively for residents. This restriction has made it impossible for residents to visit the beach, resulting in a decline in tourist visits as well. Consequently, we are unable to fully enjoy the reason why we chose to live in this area. To those accountable for this situation, I sincerely hope you are satisfied. Nonetheless, Caswell remains a fantastic place!

I really appreciate the fact that parking here is free. However, it's worth noting that there is limited parking space, with only about 30 spots available. It's advisable to arrive early. Moreover, I'm glad to see that there is a ramp for handicap accessibility leading to the beach. Additionally, they have a few portable toilets, although we didn't come across any showers or hoses for washing off the sand.

The beach is an excellent spot for stargazing during the night. Along the boardwalk, there is a spacious section with benches where you can comfortably enjoy the view, without having to arrange your setup on the sandy beach.

The water was pleasantly warm and invigorating. With turtles nesting and making their way to the ocean, there's a chance to catch a glimpse of these magnificent creatures. Once we located the parking lot area, parking was convenient. The area offers amenities such as portable toilets, a shower, and a ramp for easy access to the beach. Upon entering the water, be cautious of shells, sticks, and rocks that may not be foot-friendly. However, once you navigate past these obstacles, it's smooth sailing. Personally, I found there to be an excessive amount of ocean debris at the bottom of the water and on the sand, which didn't quite suit my preferences.
