The beach is stunning, and despite its proximity to the industrial and sewage plants, there are no unpleasant smells or sights associated with them. It truly lives up to the phrase diamond in the rough.
It's a popular spot for surfers and dog owners, with designated dog beaches at either end of the main beach during the summer season. On a good day, the main beach is bustling with surfers catching some massive waves. I can attest to this, as I live nearby and visit almost daily to walk my dog.
While Port Talbot may not be the most desirable location, the area is improving with ongoing developments.
