Let me share with you our experience at this so-called 3-star hotel. We arrived late in the evening and paid in advance with a card, as the owner requested. Without seeing the room beforehand, we didn't think to ask. After dropping off our bags, we went downstairs to grab a bite to eat. The meal was not impressive, but we decided to give it another try the next day.
Upon returning to our room, we were disappointed to find a terrible shower cabin covered in black mold. As we finished showering, a foul smell started to fill the bathroom. Upon closer inspection, we discovered a dirty mop behind the door, along with a filthy toilet paper holder and a soiled carpet in front of the sink. My husband, unable to sleep, went downstairs and found leftover soups and food from the day packed in small plastic buckets in a beer fridge. It seemed they were planning to serve them the next day. Frustrated, we left the hotel at 2 o'clock in the morning to find alternative accommodation in the neighboring city.
When we returned in the morning to check out and showed the owner the photos, he denied any wrongdoing and claimed everything was perfect. I was taken aback by his reaction. We informed him that we would pay for the night we had stayed but requested a refund for the remainder of our payment. He responded by saying that if we had paid in cash, he would have gladly refunded us. 😂
We reported the hotel to the Booking client service and are currently awaiting a resolution. Needless to say, we will never stay at this hotel again. I can't fathom why anyone would give it even a 3-star rating, perhaps only for the stunning landscapes.
