First and foremost, I must warn you to avoid Tia Heights Makida Bay for your holiday. It was an unpleasant experience for us.
The room was extremely outdated and the air conditioning was incredibly noisy. The room service only changed our towels twice in a week, and to make matters worse, the terrace door didn't even lock properly.
When it came to the food, we were relieved that we didn't get food poisoning, but it was still awful. The restaurant was dirty, with sticky tables and dirty plates, glasses, and plastic cups. There was also a shortage of glasses.
The bars had unfriendly staff and served very poor quality alcohol. Additionally, the glasses and plastic cups were dirty.
In terms of entertainment, unless you spoke Russian, it was difficult to enjoy. The majority of the evening shows were mainly in Russian language.
Despite being rated as a 5-star hotel, in our opinion, it should not have more than 2 stars. We have stayed in 3-star hotels before that were of much better standard.
Lastly, the internet was advertised as free on their website, but it was only available in the lobby and the speed was very poor.
