Koh Yao Beach

From the moment we entered our private transfer, we immediately felt well looked after. The staff warmly welcomed us as soon as we disembarked from the boat and guided us to the reception area. The service was exceptional. Our room was absolutely stunning, like something you would see on the cover of a brochure. The views were breathtaking, the amenities were fantastic, and the bed was incredibly comfortable. We can't wait to return again and again.

We absolutely loved the beach, and the activities center and instructors were absolutely amazing. However, it is worth noting that there is an additional cost for these amenities. The resort is located in a very remote area and the rooms are quite outdated. It was disappointing for us, and we agree with a previous comment that the food and drinks are expensive with limited options. Overall, everything is overpriced at this resort, and once you're there, it's difficult to leave. The spa was enjoyable, but it's important to mention that half of the facility was closed. It's unclear why they still charge full price when only half of it is available. If you're looking for an affordable holiday, this is not the place to go as everything is significantly overpriced. Unfortunately, scooter rentals are not available, and there is no transportation provided to the local town unless you're willing to pay for a taxi. However, the road leading there requires a 4WD vehicle, making it unrealistic for most guests. We were not informed about any shuttle or bus services either. In our opinion, this resort is highly overpriced.

The beach location was absolutely stunning and the staff were incredibly friendly. They went above and beyond to beautifully decorate our room for our 1 year anniversary. In terms of location, it was quite secluded from the rest of the island. If we wanted to leave the resort, the transportation cost per person was a bit expensive at around 400 baht. The food at the restaurants was decent, not outstanding. All in all, it was an incredibly peaceful experience. I must give a special mention to Jip, who was an outstanding tour guide!

I recently had a fantastic week-long stay at the Paradise Koh Yao resort. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, especially considering that both my friend and I have gluten-free dietary restrictions. They went above and beyond to ensure that all of our meals were gluten-free. The room we stayed in provided lovely views of the surrounding trees. The only minor downside was that the air conditioning could have been more powerful, but other than that, I have no complaints about the hotel. Although one of the restaurants was closed for renovations, it didn't cause much disruption, and the guests were allowed to dine at the Tree House restaurant instead. The complimentary transfers to and from the airport were a huge perk. If they are not included in your stay, I believe they are worth paying for. They made transportation to and from the resort incredibly convenient. Overall, I had a thoroughly enjoyable stay and would highly recommend this place to anyone considering booking it.

However, there were a couple of significant issues that were not communicated to us beforehand, which unfortunately dampened our stay. Firstly, the pool and one of the restaurants were undergoing construction, rendering the pool unavailable and limiting our dining options to only one restaurant. Furthermore, the cost of food and drinks at the resort is quite high, and there are no other alternatives nearby, so it is important to budget accordingly. Moreover, the road leading to and from the resort is not suitable for scooters, making us reliant on expensive taxis or the resort shuttle. This lack of independence can be a drawback once you are at the resort. Additionally, due to the frequent rain, there were limited activities available, and it would be beneficial if the resort offered more entertainment options beyond just an old tennis table. It would be nice to have games or other forms of entertainment for the guests. Lastly, the spa services at the resort are also quite expensive and overpriced. Overall, this beach resort is a suitable choice for individuals who are content with staying within the resort, fully relaxing, and not requiring much independence. If you don't mind the cost, dining and drinking within the resort is perfectly acceptable.
