After exploring the Lucayan National Park, we stumbled upon this incredible beach. From the parking lot, you simply cross the road and follow an elevated wooden walkway to reach the ocean. This is hands down the best beach we've ever been to. The ocean is calm, and you can walk out several hundred yards on the gradually sloping, white sand beach. If you didn't bring an umbrella or drinks, there's a private vendor who rents umbrellas and lounge chairs and sells refreshments. We noticed a dirt road entrance just after the park entrance where you can park for free and walk to the walkway. We would opt for this if we visit again. However, be aware that there are no bathrooms on the beach, so you might want to pay at the park to use their facilities and park securely in their lot. We didn't venture further down the road, but we believe the beaches to the east would be equally fantastic if you can find a public entrance. I highly recommend renting a car to visit this amazing hidden gem. The beaches on the east end are far superior to those on the west end of the island.
