Although I don't want to be overly critical, I believe it's important to provide an honest assessment. On the positive side, the beach is conveniently located near the city and offers a picturesque setting with plenty of opportunities for walking. There are also a few bars nearby, some of which have restrooms, changing rooms, and possibly showers (although I'm not sure if they're free or require payment).
However, on the negative side, there is a significant amount of seaweed on the beach that emits an unpleasant odor reminiscent of spoiled eggs. Additionally, there are no public restrooms or showers available, except for those located near the bars.
Despite these drawbacks, the beach has great potential and could become a popular destination if the city were to invest in more thorough cleaning (such as using a tractor, as is done in Lignano) and constructing public restrooms and showers. It would also be helpful to have drinking water or foot washing stations near the entrance, so that tourists can easily refresh themselves. By improving these amenities, visitors would be more likely to stay in Alghero rather than seeking out other beaches (such as Spiaggia di Maria Pia, which is a 20-30 minute walk away and has much less seaweed).
