The beach is quite long but narrow and tends to get crowded during peak season. There is free parking available nearby but it is limited. On a good day, the water is crystal clear and the waves can get quite choppy due to Mistral winds. The sandy bottom makes it generally safe to swim, but be cautious of the currents. The rip usually heads out at the beach extremes, so it's best to stay central if you have smaller children.
Unfortunately, the beach can get quite dirty, and I always brought a bag with me to collect any rubbish I found. It's important to be responsible and take your rubbish home with you, as the bins are infrequently emptied and leaving your rubbish on the floor is not a good idea. Your plastic waste may end up in the sea long before anyone collects it, which is not only unsightly but also harmful to the environment.
