Bosa Marina beach

During our journey, we made a halt at this beach, but it turned out to be a letdown. The dining options were limited and failed to impress us, and the beach fell short in comparison to its neighboring beaches on the coast. Our time here felt unproductive and fruitless.

Out of all the beaches in the vicinity, this particular one seems to be lacking in cleanliness and overrun with commercial activity. It would be wiser to hop on a quick bus ride to reach one of the more pristine and enjoyable beaches. However, this beach does have its merits when it comes to dining options for both lunch and dinner.

The beach was decent enough with its mixture of brown and black sand and shallow waters that stretched out far. While there were occasional rocks to watch out for, overall it was a good spot for swimming and perfect for children. The water was clear but a bit weedy, and unfortunately, it was not the cleanest. The strong winds prevented us from taking out a pedalboat, which was a bit disappointing, especially since we consider ourselves experienced sailors. Despite being crowded, there was still plenty of space for everyone to enjoy themselves without stepping on each other's toes. The parking was expensive, but I kept the actual cost from my wife to avoid any arguments. However, note that the parking machine doesn't give change, so be careful when paying. The rubbish bins were in poor condition, and it seemed like no one bothered to use them. As for the lifeguard, we weren't sure if he understood his role or if we misunderstood the Sardinian definition of it. He spent most of his time on his phone or chatting with his friends, who seemed to be his admirers. Nevertheless, we still had a good time, and the kids enjoyed themselves.

The beach is absolutely lovely, with ample space to wade into the sea for a considerable distance. It's a perfect spot for families with children to enjoy the crystal-clear waters and have some fun in the sun.

The beach is vast and spacious, but that's about the only positive thing I can say. Sure, you can rent a paddling boat or try windsurfing, but why bother? The water is murky and uninviting, and the sand is coarse and dirty. I've been to plenty of beaches in my lifetime, and this one definitely doesn't make the cut. It's a shame that it's touted as one of the nicest beaches on Sardinia, because it's anything but.
