The location is absolutely perfect, the staff is kind and the rooms are clean. However, the decor could use an update to make it truly perfect. The pool area is kept clean and provides an enjoyable experience. The beach is stunning and conveniently located near your room. If you prefer not to walk up steep hills to reach the reception/entrance gate, having a car is necessary. The surrounding area is pleasant and offers all the amenities you would need. Although the train station is a 20-minute walk from the hotel, they do provide a pick-up service for 10€. LUCIA, who works at the beachside Lido, is a delightful and helpful woman. Thank you!

The prices during peak season do not match the quality, resulting in lower value. The location is perfect, but the maintenance is lacking. It feels like staying in older mobile homes while camping. It is a great place for children and families. The food is served in large portions for the prices charged, but the quality is low, similar to a cafeteria. The water is not safe to drink, so it is advisable to purchase bottled water from a local market. Having a car is necessary as the local infrastructure is poorly developed and not suitable for walking, even short distances. The amenities are in a highly degraded state, with toilets, showers, and faucets either partially functional or non-functional. The company is not currently investing in renovations or repairs. Some facilities and roads show significant water erosion, which may make them unsafe. What are you paying for? You are paying for the beach, gardens, view, and access to an elevator. However, the company does not maintain the beach, which can become overwhelmed with seaweed. Each room includes one umbrella and two chairs. Italian language skills are not required but recommended.

In September 2021, there were two of us. The resort's descriptions didn't mention what a great place it was. We spent six days here while visiting Capo Vaticano. The resort is beautifully situated on top of a cliff, providing a stunning view of the sea. There's a bar and deckchairs on the beach, included in the price of our stay. It wasn't crowded during this time of year, offering peace and quiet. To get back to the resort from the beach, there's a lift carved into the cliff, which is convenient for families with young children and people with disabilities. After a 15-minute walk along the beach towards Tropea, we reached another beach with two bars and cafes. The resort could use a slight renovation, but it didn't bother us. The service at the pool and restaurant was very pleasant. When we arrived at the train station from the airport, the kind lady at the reception arranged quick transportation to the resort, and the driver even helped us with our luggage to our room. The town has a cozy atmosphere, with several restaurants and small markets selling local products, which was important to us. We highly recommend the Bellaitalia restaurant for its local cuisine, but it's best to arrive a bit early to reserve a table. If we ever have the chance to visit this region of Calabria again, we will definitely choose this resort. Warm greetings from Poland!

What are your expectations for your stay? If you prefer a place with brand new furniture, flawless arrangements, and the like, this might not be the ideal choice for you. However, if you are seeking a balance between affordability and a great location, you should definitely consider staying at Marco Polo. The scenery is absolutely breathtaking, the staff is always accessible, and the city center of Tropea is conveniently just 3km away.

Although our apartment is in need of repairs, one positive aspect is its close proximity to the beach. Additionally, the restaurant serves delicious food. Moreover, the beach itself and its surrounding environment are truly beautiful.
