Kathisma Beach

In my humble opinion, the beach we visited in Lefkada on our trip was unparalleled. The ease of access and ample free parking made it a breeze to get there. The beach itself was expansive, with plenty of room for even the largest crowds to spread out comfortably. The water was stunningly clear, with big waves that made for an exhilarating experience. However, it's worth noting that the water gets deep quite quickly, so be careful. To top it all off, there were plenty of fantastic restaurants nearby to satisfy any cravings.

The beach is an exquisite location with pristine, clear turquoise waters. The ocean floor is covered in pebbles, so wearing water shoes is a must. The beach is spacious, providing ample room for visitors to rent sunbeds or bring their own umbrella and sunbeds. Parking is available, but some spots require a fee. The road leading to the beach is decent, starting out wide and gradually narrowing as you near the shoreline. This beach is highly recommended for those seeking a serene and picturesque getaway.

The beach may be bustling with activity, but that just adds to the lively atmosphere. While finding free parking can be a challenge, there are paid options available for convenience. The selection of dining options may be limited, but the sand beach itself is a true gem. With a variety of sunbathing options available, you'll always find a spot to relax and enjoy the sun. Although the waves can occasionally be a bit rough, locals recommend that only strong swimmers venture into the water. And of course, the sunset views are absolutely stunning - a perfect way to end a day at this beautiful beach.

The relentless chomping of the waves gradually grinds the rocks into rough sand, and over the course of millions of years, it may transform into fine sand. The sunset at this location is breathtaking, with hues and shadows that appear almost surreal, as if from a movie set on a faraway planet. In the late afternoon, towering waves rock swimmers as the sun begins to set. The water deepens quickly, but floating on the backs of whales is an absolute blast. There are elegant restaurants available for those seeking luxury, as well as options for families looking for a good meal. A winding road leads directly to the beachfront parking lot. Those who are unable to find free parking on the side of the road can pay ten euros for a shaded spot. On occasion, it is recommended to duck as paragliders gracefully and effortlessly land in designated areas.

This beach in Lefkada is unparalleled in its amenities, boasting everything from showers and toilets to bars and restaurants, as well as pools and clubs for those seeking a more lively atmosphere. It's easily accessible and even offers parking for added convenience. However, depending on the neighbors, it can become quite crowded and noisy. When the sea is calm, it's a great spot for families with children, but when the waves pick up, even adults may find it challenging. During our stay, we opted for the Soul beach club, which provided comfortable new chairs and umbrellas for a reasonable €20 fee, as well as shaded parking for customers. While you're welcome to bring your own drinks, the club also offers a range of beverages to choose from. For those seeking a bit more privacy, the left corner of the beach is a great option, with plenty of space for umbrellas and a fantastic restaurant, Akrogiali, serving up some of the best food on the beach. While water shoes are recommended, it's still manageable if you forget them.
