Agios Fokas beach

The beach in Skyros that I adore the most is a true gem. The water is so clear that you can see right through it. The tavern nearby provides umbrellas and sunbeds for their customers. The path leading to the beach is accessible for all vehicles, except for Formula 1 cars, of course. It's best to arrive early in the morning to secure a parking spot close to the beach and a prime spot by the water. However, it's important to note that the mobile signal is quite weak, as I discovered when testing with two out of three providers. Additionally, the tavern does not offer Wi-Fi at this time. Despite these minor inconveniences, this beach is an absolute must-visit when in Skyros.

The lagoon is undoubtedly one of the most magnificent beaches in Skyros and it happens to be among my top three. It boasts of an excellent wind protection system that ensures you have a peaceful and uninterrupted time. The beach is perfect for children as it is safe and the water is not too deep. The road that leads to the lagoon ends right at the beach, making it easily accessible. The only amenity available here is a small tavern that offers a limited number of sunbeds. It is advisable to come prepared with your own umbrella and espresso since the tavern only serves Greek coffee and Frape.

This serene and tranquil beach boasts a remarkable seafood eatery that is sure to satisfy your taste buds. Its peaceful atmosphere is perfect for a relaxing day by the shore. 👍

The petite sandy beach is a sight to behold. Don't forget to explore the other beach accessible through the narrow path on the left side of the tavern.

The beach is a stunning location that is perfect for families with young children. Although the water may be chilly, it is exceptionally fresh and clean. It is not overly crowded, and there is a restaurant conveniently located right on the beach. The food is of excellent quality, and the prices are reasonable. However, there are only a few umbrellas available, so it is recommended that visitors bring their own. A fisherman's house, a beautiful architectural gem with a simplistic and minimalistic design, can be found on the far end of the beach. Additionally, there is a charming little whitewashed chapel perched on the rocks above, constructed on ancient ruins, that is easy to explore. Overall, the experience is truly marvelous.
