Ah, the much-lauded beach. It's beautiful, they say. Clear waters, they say. Deeper than the rest, they say. And let's not forget the sand, oh no. It's mixed with smooth pebbles, apparently. How delightful. But forgive me if I'm not jumping for joy at the mere mention of this beach. Sure, it might be pretty, but what's the big deal? There are plenty of beaches out there with clear water and smooth sand. And let's not forget the crowds. I can only imagine the hordes of people flocking to this supposedly amazing beach, jostling for space and ruining any chance of a peaceful day in the sun. No thanks, I'll pass.

The beach is absolutely stunning with its vast expanse of sand and crystal-clear waters. During the end of September, the beach was free to access and visitors could enjoy a refreshing drink from the bar. The beach offers ample parking space to accommodate the influx of tourists. The sunbeds on the right side of the beach are particularly noteworthy, providing a comfortable and relaxing experience.

To begin with, the coastline is comprised of tiny pebbles and the sea has small rocks and pebbles. The sandy part of the beach lies towards the back. It is a well-ordered beach that caters to the needs of those with special requirements and has a vigilant lifeguard on duty. The swimming area is off-limits to boats and is cordoned off for safety. Kayak boats are available for rent, but jet skis are not allowed. The three primary restaurants offer drinks and snacks for beach-goers. Parking is a challenge after 10:30, but we were fortunate to have arranged for a hotel van. The Ionion restaurant's food was delectable, and the beach service was prompt and courteous. The beach is ideal for families and children, and the rocky areas on the far side are perfect for Instagram enthusiasts. I had a fantastic time and will undoubtedly return.

The majority of the beach is furnished with comfortable sunbeds, while a small section remains unoccupied and shaded by natural foliage until early afternoon. A nominal fee of 5 EUR is charged for two sunbeds for the entire day, but unfortunately, refreshments are not included in the price. The beach is entirely covered with pebbles, making it a little challenging to walk barefoot in and out of the water. However, various cafes and restaurants are scattered along the beach, offering a range of delectable meals and drinks. Parking space is limited, so it is advisable to arrive before 11 AM to secure a spot. Nevertheless, many people park their vehicles along the main road, so there is always an alternative option. For those seeking adventure, a variety of water sports and activities such as water skiing, tubing, parasailing, and kayaking are available.
