Velo Zarace beach

The beach itself is charming and peaceful, but unfortunately lacks any natural shade. When the sun is at its peak, visitors must seek shelter under a roof. However, a short walk to Malo Zaraće provides both shade and a beautiful bay. There are also restaurants available at Velo Zaraće for refreshments. The only downside is the rocky road to reach the beach and the challenging parking situation, which may discourage some from returning.

The serene beach is characterized by its rocky terrain, providing a unique and picturesque view. The crystal-clear waters are just as stunning as other beaches on the island, and offer an excellent opportunity for swimming. After soaking up the sun, you can visit the restaurant located right on the water for a delicious meal. On the left side of the beach, there is a large rock that is easily accessible by swimming to it. The rock features a ladder, allowing you to climb up and bask in the sun or even take a thrilling jump into the refreshing water.

Our visit was a stroke of good fortune, as we had the beach almost entirely to ourselves. While it may not be as enjoyable if it becomes overcrowded, the tranquil atmosphere we experienced was simply divine.

The beach is impeccably clean, and visitors are encouraged to take care of it by leaving no trace behind. Whether you choose to access it via a narrow path at the end of the street or by sailboat or yacht, you are sure to find a tranquil spot on the picturesque island of Hvar. However, it's important to note that there are no shops or stores nearby, so be sure to bring your own beverages and refreshments. While there are restaurants serving delicious and affordable food, you won't find any shops or tobacco stores. Furthermore, the beach lacks natural shade, so you'll need to get creative to escape the sun's rays. Nevertheless, you're sure to have a blast at this beach, just be sure to clean up after yourself. This Hvar beach is quite urbanized, which has its pros and cons. On the plus side, it's easily accessible by car and there's ample parking available. Additionally, there are options to rent sun loungers and dine at nearby restaurants. However, the view is somewhat obstructed by the boats parked in front. Additionally, the water temperature was surprisingly chilly.
