Clear Water Bay

In my opinion, the beach is not worth the journey. The construction of a large resort is underway, which means that upon arrival, you will be greeted by the sight and sound of heavy machinery, hardly the idyllic paradise one hopes for. The trail leading to the beach is challenging and not recommended for inexperienced hikers, requiring a one-hour walk from M-Pai village. Furthermore, the water quality is similar to that of M-Pay bay, and during my visit, I encountered a significant amount of litter strewn across the sand. Ultimately, the decision to visit this beach is yours to make.

I advise against visiting this beach. The once-easy route to access it is no longer feasible, as the jungle has taken over the path. The only option is a lengthy trek of 10 kilometers on foot. The beach has undergone significant changes, and unfortunately not for the better. It is now littered with trash and in the midst of large construction projects. In contrast, the rest of Mpay Bay appears to have been left abandoned. All things considered, it is not worth the effort to visit this beach.

The beach offers crystal clear waters that complement the pristine white sand. My snorkeling adventure was a surreal experience as I encountered a plethora of fish. The lack of crowds made it a truly serene and unparalleled getaway.

This beach is nothing but a disappointment. It can be reached by either taking the Speed Ferry Company or by embarking on a grueling beach walk and jungle trek that takes a whole hour from Mpay Bei. If you're foolish enough to attempt the trek, I suggest doing it in the morning before the sun starts blazing down on you. And if you're lucky, the tide might be in and you'll have to wade through knee-deep water for a whole kilometer. What a nightmare! And for what? To reach a beach that's hardly worth the effort.

The beach is unspoiled and immaculate, a true hidden gem located 75 minutes away from m'pai. The journey to reach it involves wading through knee-deep tides and navigating through the lush jungle, but it is certainly worth the effort. Remember to bring along 1.5 liters of water, bug spray, and some snacks to keep you energized along the way. The trek can be completed in flip flops, making it accessible to all. It's worth noting that topless sunbathing is permitted on this beach. Alternatively, you can also reach the beach via a jetty, which is a convenient option.
