This beach is the perfect spot near the city to witness breathtaking sunsets and admire the stunning waves. Take some time to immerse yourself in the water, and experience the tranquility that lies beneath the surface, just like the calmness within the sea.
There is a fantastic hidden playground located away from the main cafe area. It features a one-of-a-kind wooden play sculpture shaped like a facehugger, where you can enter through the mouth and slide down the tail. Additionally, there are toilet, shower, BBQ, and table facilities available.
There is a small carpark across the road from the beach, right opposite the access path that leads to the soft sand beach at the northern end. At this location, there is a dog water station, a beach rinse off shower, and a lost and found. They also provide plenty of bags and bins. Overall, it is a nice dog beach. The only downside is that some other owners tend to forget to stay close enough to their dogs to give verbal commands, keep an eye on their own dog, or carry a lead with them. We intentionally chose a time when it was known to be quiet, as there were still some behavioral issues that needed to be addressed. Unfortunately, the actions of other owners along the 2km stretch of the beach forced us to leave early.
We frequented this beach the most on our trip, as it is conveniently located near CC sister kid's school. It's a great spot for us to relax and pass the time between drop off and pick up. The beach itself is stunning and spacious. Each time we visited, we parked in different areas and got to experience the various, yet equally beautiful, sides of Scarborough Beach (I must admit, pronouncing the name correctly was a bit challenging at first!).
Top dog park I've visited in Australia. Immaculate and well-maintained, canines were amiable and my furry companion had a blast! Ample parking available.
