Today was an absolutely ideal day to explore Ruby Beach! The weather was perfect, with bright sunshine and only a handful of visitors - around 12 in total. If you have the flexibility, I highly recommend visiting on a weekday. This stunning location is the perfect spot for families to let their kids run around, snap some photos, dip their toes in the ocean, and collect beautiful rocks to build cairns. Personally, Ruby Beach is one of my all-time favorite places on the planet, and it's conveniently located near my absolute favorite spot - the Hoh Rainforest. The air here is so pure and refreshing - it's worth a visit just to take a deep breath and soak it all in!
This beach is the perfect destination for those seeking a peaceful and rejuvenating retreat. The accessibility ramp makes it easy for everyone to bask in the breathtaking views, including those with mobility challenges. It's an ideal spot for families to spend quality time together and create unforgettable memories.
This shoreline is a must-visit, but keep in mind that it's solely a beach. The available parking area can accommodate only 5-6 vehicles, and the path leading down to the beach is steep. Despite these minor inconveniences, we adore this beach and frequent it often. However, if you require restroom facilities, we suggest stopping at Kalaloch, Beach 4, or Ruby.
My group of 8 stayed at this charming beach spot for one night and had a lovely time. While the campground isn't very large and is nestled in the forest rather than on the beach, we were able to find a comfortable spot for our 4 tents despite a work crew occupying most of the area. We were delighted to discover a spacious area with 3 logs, perfect for a campfire, and a stunning sunset viewpoint at the edge of the campground. Additionally, the location is conveniently close to the creek for easy water access and features a pleasant half-open outhouse that blends in nicely with the forest surroundings. It almost feels like you're using the restroom outside among the trees and ferns.
