We had a great experience staying at this campsite for one night in our campervan. The campsite is very modern and well-managed, and everything worked perfectly during our stay. It's a relaxed and family-friendly campsite located right by the beach, offering stunning views of the sea and excellent services. We encountered respectful and polite fellow campers throughout our stay. The toilet and shower block was spacious and comfortable, and there were plenty of nice common areas to enjoy. We were especially pleased with the laundry room, which had both washing machines and dryers that worked perfectly and were reasonably priced. While we understand that this campsite may not be the cheapest option, it is located in a popular area and offers top-quality services. Our only suggestion would be for them to be more flexible with the arrival time limit of 6pm, as the campsite is not easily accessible and reaching it can be a bit challenging. Overall, we had a fantastic stay and would love to return in the future.
This beach is absolutely stunning, with its golden-sand bay and a picturesque island just off the coast. There is a small car park available as well. The water is incredibly clear and not too deep near the beach, making it perfect for swimming. We even took a canoe right from the beach and enjoyed a picnic on the beautiful Samalaman Island. If you're up for some exploration, there is plenty of rugged coastline to discover by boat towards the West, all the way to Smirisary. Loch Ailort is also within reach, only about 1.5 to 2 miles away, and it has its own islands guarding the entrance. Additionally, it's not uncommon to spot a deer wandering around the bay. If you're looking for a place to eat, the Glenuig Inn is conveniently located nearby, although it's recommended to make a reservation. Alternatively, the Lochailort Inn, which is back along the A861, often has available tables if the Glenuig Inn is fully booked. Both establishments offer excellent food. Taking a trip along the single track road to this secluded bay is definitely worth it.
