The beach was beautiful and dog-friendly, with a peaceful atmosphere away from the busy crowds further down the coast. However, parking was a bit of a challenge as the lot was small and quickly filled up. Despite this inconvenience, we enjoyed our visit and plan to come back in the future.
This isn't the best that the Norfolk coastline has to offer. It's decent for walking the dog and you can go for miles to places like Heacham and Hunstanton. However, the sea water is brown, the beach is mostly pebbles, and the parking is fairly pricey. It's not crowded, but it's not exactly quiet either. It's a nice spot if you enjoy bird watching or flying a kite, especially on bank holidays when there are lots of people out. The reserve at the back is much nicer.
This beach is fantastic when the tide is in, but when it recedes (and I mean recedes!!!) there are superior beaches out there. The sand on the upper part is incredibly soft and pristine. However, below the high tide mark, the sand becomes muddy, smelly in certain areas, and stretches on for miles. I estimate that the low water point is approximately 1Β½ miles away. The amusements and shops located above the beach are excellent and provide everything that anyone could need. There is parking available right on the road (arrive early) as well as near the train station. Restrooms are conveniently located near the promenade and train station. Overall, this is a wonderful beach that offers everything necessary for a great day out. It would have received a 5-star rating if it weren't for the presence of mud. I'm not being overly critical, just mentioning that if you were to visit and experience it firsthand, the mud might spoil your day if no one had warned you about it.
The parking is convenient and it's just a quick walk from the car park to the beach. The beach is welcoming to dogs and it's relatively peaceful, with ample room to stay within your own group. We will definitely come back to this beach when we're in the area. The only thing I wish is that there were restrooms near the parking area, but that's just a personal issue with my bladder.
The North Norfolk coast boasts a stunning coastline, making it the perfect spot for a leisurely walk or a relaxing day spent soaking up the sun. The beach is also dog-friendly, and with ample parking available, it's an ideal destination for families with children.
This beach is quite beautiful and much cleaner than other beaches in the UK. It's spacious and has plenty of room to relax. However, there aren't many food options nearby, except for a small cafΓ© located near the car park. Speaking of which, the car park is quite large and the prices are reasonable.
