The serene and delightful beach is perfect for unwinding and relaxing. It's a hidden gem that can be discovered while strolling along the coast. The peaceful atmosphere makes it an ideal spot to sit and soak up the sun.
Whenever I visit the beach, I prefer to stay at the caravan park and take a leisurely walk down to the shore. However, I have observed that the parking arrangements have been altered for other visitors. Despite this, the beach is undeniably beautiful. Although it may not be the most picturesque, it offers a serene ambiance and stunning vistas. During peak hours, a vigilant lifeguard is on duty to ensure everyone's safety. Additionally, the beach boasts rock pools that are perfect for children to explore and enjoy.
This stunning beach has RNLI lifeguards during the summer season, ensuring the safety of all visitors. Two distinct beaches are available for your enjoyment, with one being dog-friendly. The convenience of a nearby car park, food and drink facilities, and toilets make this beach a breeze to visit. The vast expanse of sandy beach provides ample room for swimming and soaking up the sun's rays.
We arrived around 7pm on Thursday night and fished for about an hour, catching mackerel for breakfast. Although there are signs indicating no overnight stays, we stayed in the corner without any issues. The place empties out around 6pm and people start arriving between 7am and 8am, but it never gets crowded. It's a charming little spot to stop by. There's also a donation box, so please consider donating if you stay hereβit's the least you can do :)
The stretch of this beach is impressively long, spanning a mile when the tide recedes. However, the texture of the sand is a mix of pea shingle and coarse grains. Parking options in the vicinity are limited. Keep an eye out for the two pill boxes that stand guard over this beach.
