This beach is a peaceful and charming spot that is well-designed and perfect for those seeking tranquility. Although it may be a bit challenging to reach, the effort is definitely worth it, whether you're planning a day trip or a longer vacation. I've visited this beach 2 or 3 times in the past year and a half, and I've always had a positive experience. I highly recommend it.

The cove is incredibly peaceful and serene, which I believe is attributed to the chilly weather.

I would describe it as Dreamland! An incredible campsite!

Apollo beach

We stumbled upon a serene and secluded cove accessible only by a dirt road, while scouring the map for a camping spot. It's devoid of any amenities, which adds to its charm. However, the Apollon site located right behind the beach, is a blemish on the environment, with its manicured lawns and fences that encroach upon the natural habitat. Similarly, the Akliman bay on the left side is dotted with Bodrum-like sites, constructed by converting olive groves into plots of land, which is a shame as it spoils the natural beauty of the place. The area boasts of stunning historical ruins, but unfortunately, the same mentality that has cordoned off most of the olive groves, has also destroyed the naturalness of these historical sites. It's evident that the municipality is more interested in making money than preserving the natural beauty of the place. The olive groves which are marked as 'parcel for sale' are now filled with villas and private properties. Despite the presence of a trash can on Apollon beach, some people still choose to litter. If you plan on camping, make sure you come prepared and avoid starting a fire. The sea is breathtaking, but the water is cold.

The sand isn't great, the ocean depth increases abruptly, the transportation options are limited, but if you're seeking tranquility, it's a fitting choice. That's why we selected it, and it was incredibly peaceful by the end of September.
