Though the ocean waters may be chilly, there are a few rocky lakes that provide a suitable spot for knee-deep wading, especially for children. Conveniently accessible from Porto's old town, the beach can be reached via the urban train line from either Campanha or Sao Bento station towards Espinho. The train stops directly on the beach, and the Andante card is valid for this line, which runs approximately every 30 minutes.
