Maruata in Mexico is simply unbeatable. The stunning beauty and seclusion of the beach are truly breathtaking and peaceful. The local seafood is absolutely delightful and the charm of the area is simply irresistible.
To reach the untouched beach, you need to descend the ravine using a tire ladder. At the hostel, which is more like a small gap, there is a sign providing information about the place. Apart from two female dogs and their puppies, we didn't come across anyone in charge (if you can bring something to eat for them, it would be appreciated). The sea resembles a large pool with crystal-clear water. There are a couple of palapas that I assume can be rented, but even if you choose not to, it is still expected to contribute a certain amount to maintain the area (since we couldn't find anyone, we offered cookies and water to the dogs). It is definitely worth descending to visit this beach.
When I arrived, Sarita greeted me right away with a gorgeous smile and a wonderful attitude. Lupita Leyva. She patiently addressed all my inquiries and even took me to this amazing spot, which happens to have the only pool I've come across on the Nahua coast!
