This bay is absolutely stunning! We dropped anchor here to have lunch and did a little bit of exploring. It turns out that this bay was named after a Mexican freediver named Mechudo, who was known for his remarkable looks and long, flowing hair. He was renowned as the best diver in the region, specializing in pearl diving. One day, he claimed to have discovered the largest pearl he had ever seen, and his friend encouraged him to retrieve it. Despite the less-than-ideal weather conditions, Mechudo went for it anyway. Unfortunately, he never resurfaced, and his friends had to leave on the boat. They returned the following day to search for him and discovered him underwater, with his hand trapped inside the enormous shell, his hair gracefully flowing in the water. It is said that you can catch a glimpse of his face and his flowing hair on the southern peak, as it emerges from the north.
