This public beach, easily accessible for disabled elderly individuals and families, holds great potential. However, it has not been properly maintained or appreciated for years. The beach has significantly reduced in size over time, and there is a risk it may vanish entirely. It's truly unfortunate, as this beach is a valuable asset for the city that should not be overlooked!
This public beach is absolutely stunning. It is divided into two sections that are situated close to each other. The sandy section is perfect for kids as the water is not too deep. On the other side, there is a section made of white polished stones. Although it may not be as comfortable for your back and bottom, the upside is that it is less crowded, the water is deeper, and it is much cleaner. If you enjoy snorkeling, you'll have a great time here because there are large stones located 100 meters from the coast. These stones not only protect the beach from waves but also attract a variety of fish. Parking is available on the nearby streets at a very reasonable price. It costs 0.5 EUR per hour, 2.5 EUR for 6 hours, or 4 EUR for the entire day. Even when we visited during scorching temperatures of +38C, we were still able to find plenty of free parking spots for our car. Don't forget to bring your beach umbrella and make the most of this beautiful beach instead of opting for the overpriced private beaches in the surrounding area.
We departed early as we were not impressed with the dog-friendly beach. Our visit took place in the middle of June, and we were unable to find any vendors selling umbrellas or loungers, leaving our canine companion without any shade in the scorching 30-degree weather. The atmosphere was quite tense due to the presence of aggressive and uncontrolled dogs, whose owners showed little concern. Overall, the experience was unpleasant and anxiety-inducing. Furthermore, the beach area itself was not particularly appealing.
This seaside resort boasts stunning beach and pebble areas with crystal clear waters perfect for swimming. It's a peaceful spot, particularly during June, September, and sometimes even October. You can park in the center of Marina di Pisa or venture towards Tirrenia. I highly recommend visiting during the off season.
