Charming beach with a cozy atmosphere, though not very spacious. The sea is lovely with clean water, offering an excellent view and an amazing sunset. Great for privacy.
The stunning lake was indeed a sight to behold, however, it was overflowing with people. It was disheartening to see the place so packed, especially considering the high price of entry. Despite arriving early, it seemed as though many others had the same idea.
What a stunning day we had at Vouliagmenis beach! Sure, it's a bit of a trek from the cruise port, but trust me, it's worth it. We hopped on the City Sight Seeing Tour that conveniently picks you up right next to the terminal, and after a short 2-minute walk, we were on the Pireus-Athens line. As we strolled towards the A2 interchange for the Beach and Riviera Line, we couldn't help but admire the Acropolis. After a 30-40 minute drive, we arrived at the beach entrance, which was a mere 50 meters away from the Oceanis Restaurant. However, be warned, it's not a public beach, and you'll need to cough up β¬10 per adult and β¬5 per kid over 5 years old to gain access. But, once you're in, you'll find a public section with free blue chairs and umbrellas, and a private, serviced section with black sun chairs near the snack shop. The private section will set you back β¬65 for a set of two chairs, an umbrella, a little table, and a security box. But, don't worry, they'll give you a credit for the entrance tickets (maximum of four: two adults, two kids), so it's only an extra β¬35 in the end. The snack bar offers reasonably priced paninis, boxed salads, and bagged chips, so you won't go hungry. We had a great day, but I must confess, it was a Monday, so I can only imagine how busy it gets as the week goes on, especially on the weekend. Who knew paying for a beach visit could be so enjoyable?
The coastline is adorned with pebbles, yet it is not an exception in the vicinity. This particular beach is of moderate size and offers complimentary thatched parasols, similar to its adjacent counterparts.
