The water is calm and shallow in the designated swimming area, with the temperature surprisingly warm. Beware of the hovering seagulls, feeding them is prohibited and can result in a hefty fine of up to €1000. The Schilksee Olympic Harbour, a forest of masts, is situated at the end of the beach.

This is the best beach I've experienced in Germany so far. The water is crystal clear and there's a great restaurant close by. The beach is peaceful and clean, with golden sand and some rocks. It can get a bit chilly from the wind, but there are beach chairs to shelter in. I really enjoyed my time here.
