This beach is likely the best one on the island, especially in the southern half. There are ample parking spots and a food truck available, and the surrounding trees add to its aesthetic appeal, preventing it from looking like a barren desert meeting the ocean. It's an ideal spot for those traveling by car, bike, or on foot. Additionally, during low tide, it's the perfect location for on-foot fishing.
The beach was a bit of a trek, with a long walk over the dunes, but it was worth it once we arrived.
The beach is quite lovely, but it's important to note that vans won't be able to reach it. Bicycles are highly recommended for getting there.
This is my favorite beach in Oleron. The view is absolutely stunning, with the ocean stretching out before you and a refreshing breeze in the air. You can even catch a glimpse of Fort Boyarde from the beach. I adore this place and I'm sure you will too. It's worth a visit in any season, so come and see for yourself!
This is the best beach on this side of the island for us, especially during low tide when it's perfect for the kids! However, during the middle of summer, parking can be a bit tricky after 10 a.m. Nevertheless, there is plenty of space to park and even secure your bike π².
