Today, I brought my young child to the playground at Bay Beach on Erie Rd, and we had a fantastic time! The playground offered a great selection of play areas and activities, and it was well-maintained and clean. Additionally, there was a nearby Pavilion with stunning, well-maintained restrooms. The view was also quite impressive (check out the pictures!). We will certainly be returning to this park repeatedly! I highly recommend it!
We were searching for a beach not too far from Toronto and decided to visit this one based on the numerous excellent reviews. To our surprise, the park was quite nice, featuring decent washroom facilities and a large, FREE parking area, which was a pleasant surprise. However, the beach itself was not very clean. While digging holes with my kids, we uncovered quite a bit of trash and garbage hidden in the sand. The most disappointing aspect was the sharp rocks in the water. Without water shoes, I hurt myself every time I entered the lake, making it one of the most painful experiences I've had. I would not return to this beach because I can't stand rocks in the water and always try to avoid such beaches. If you can overlook the rocks and garbage in the sand, this beach might be perfect for you.
Remote, peaceful, yet petite. The ocean and shore remained fairly pristine even following a recent shower on July 22nd.
The public beach is absolutely beautiful, with plenty of space and a cozy atmosphere that isn't too crowded. Just keep in mind that the water is a bit rocky, so it's a good idea to bring shoes. There's ample parking available, and before you reach the beach, there's a lovely park with grassy areas. The surroundings are truly stunning, making this place a hidden gem.
