Moonstone Beach

The beach in Cambria is an absolute delight for anyone on a coastal road trip. The wooden boardwalk is perfect for a leisurely stroll, and there are plenty of parking options available. The path winds its way along the beach and also takes you inland, offering a diverse range of scenery. Midway down the path, you'll find clean and well-maintained bathrooms. We loved breathing in the fresh ocean air, taking in the stunning views, and admiring the wildflowers that were just starting to bloom. Overall, this is a wonderful spot that we highly recommend.

The beach was quite intriguing with its unique feature of being covered in small pebbles and dark sand. My main purpose of visiting was to collect moonstones, but unfortunately, I didn't come across many, and the ones I did find were quite small. Nevertheless, the drive down to the beach was pleasant, and the overall ambiance of the place was serene and beautiful. It was a shame that I missed the seals sunbathing, as they usually do so in the morning, and I arrived in the afternoon.

Moonstone beach is undoubtedly one of the most enchanting beaches I have ever visited. Whenever I am in the town of Cambria, I make it a point to stop by this beach. The waterfront area is dotted with several charming hotels and lodges that offer a comfortable stay. The beach is adorned with an abundance of driftwood that visitors use to create some fascinating structures. On a few occasions, I have been lucky enough to witness dolphins frolicking in the water, which is an absolute delight. Moonstone beach is a true gem and a must-visit for anyone exploring the beauty of California's coastline.

I adore taking early morning strolls on Moonstone Beach. It's a serene experience where you can relish the constantly evolving scenery and the fascinating locals. The sight of the local fox rummaging through the debris that has washed up overnight, the occasional deer frolicking in the waves, or the morning fog shimmering in the sunlight are just a few of the delights. It's the perfect way to kickstart your day!
