Good Harbor beach

Despite the presence of wind, Good Harbor remains one of the top beaches on the North Shore in Gloucester. Its appeal lies in the ability to take long walks, ample parking options in close proximity, and a safe environment. It is a serene and stunning beach in Gloucester that is worth visiting.

This beach on the east coast is undoubtedly one of the best I have ever visited. The atmosphere is incredibly tranquil and serene, making it the perfect spot to unwind. We visited on a weekday and were pleasantly surprised to find that the beach was not overcrowded, leaving plenty of space for children to play in the waves. Speaking of waves, they were absolutely fantastic, and we even ended up renting a boogie board from the snack shop. The bathrooms were clean and open until 5 pm, which was a nice touch. The only downside was the lack of a foot rinse station, which was a bit unexpected given the beach's otherwise excellent amenities. It was a bit of a hassle to have sand all over our feet on the ride home.

I typically frequent the beach in New London, CT, but after learning that this particular beach had been recognized as one of the best up north, I impulsively decided to give it a try. I must say, it has quickly become my favorite beach in the area! The water is stunningly clear and the entire beach is impeccably maintained. I visited on a Friday morning and was pleased to find that it wasn't overly crowded. Just be sure to purchase a parking pass ahead of time for the day.

The process of reserving a parking spot for the beach was a breeze, and there was no traffic to contend with on the busy July 4th holiday. The parking lot was spacious, and the snack bar offered a diverse range of food, drinks, and desserts, as well as a variety of beach essentials like towels, boogie boards, and flip flops. The beach itself was pristine and provided ample space for visitors to unwind, soak up some rays, take a dip in the water, and enjoy all the joys of summer.

This beach on the North Shore is undoubtedly the best one around. Located in Gloucester, it boasts a long and beautiful stretch of sand, complete with public porta-potties and an ice cream shop. The beach is spacious enough to accommodate multiple families, with ample room for games and sandcastle building. The surf is gentle, and there's even a side channel where little ones can safely play and explore the rocks for snails and crabs. However, be warned that the seagulls can be a nuisance, so keep a close eye on your food. Parking can be a bit pricey for non-locals, but there are ways to save. If you visit during the week or close to 5pm, parking is free. Additionally, parking is free during the off-season, and there's free parking on Nautilus road with beach access. However, these spots fill up quickly, so it's best to arrive early if you want to snag a spot. Overall, this beach is a must-visit for anyone in the area.
