Rodanthe beach

Camp Hatters is a pleasant campground, although the sites were more tightly spaced than I had anticipated. The facilities were kept clean and well-maintained. My only concern was that I observed a lady in the pool with her service dog resting on her stomach, even though the dog wasn't in the water or swimming. It greatly upset me that she was asked to leave the pool area with her service dog. I believe individuals should be allowed to have their service animals with them, especially when the animal is not causing any disturbance or being left unattended. It is unfair to deny someone their service animal.

The staff at the campground is friendly and actively maintains the area. However, there were a few instances in the evening where the pool had loud parties with DJ speakers, and it seemed like the staff was unaware of the situation. Additionally, despite it being against the rules, people were openly consuming alcohol in and around the pool. However, during the mornings and early afternoons, the pool was enjoyable and the campers were respectful during those times. Throughout the park, the campsites are quite close together and none of them offer noteworthy views on the beach side of the campground. On the other hand, the sound side of the campground does have some lovely waterfront sites with views, and that's what we would choose if we were to return to the Cape Hatteras region. The beach right by Camp Hatteras is narrower compared to other areas in the Outer Banks, and it slopes moderately and quickly towards the ocean. If you're solely looking for a beach vacation, I wouldn't recommend Camp Hatteras. However, it is a nice location if you want to explore the tourist attractions in and around the Outer Banks.

It's a fantastic place to stay. One of the cleanest and best-run RV communities we have ever stayed at in this area. The bath houses are clean and nice, the pool is enjoyable, and the lots are good. If I had one suggestion, it would be that during the evening, there were numerous teenagers racing around in golf carts, and it was necessary to stay alert because they showed no regard for pedestrians or basic traffic rules. It would be beneficial to have more guidance regarding the use and operation of golf carts. They were still active well past midnight.

We had a fantastic time at Camp Hatteras. The staff members we interacted with were extremely friendly, and they were very accommodating when we had to make a last-minute booking for an extended period of time. We also appreciated how pet-friendly the beach was. Although the campsites were close together, this actually provided great opportunities to meet new people and socialize, making it feel like a home away from home. We were impressed with the cleanliness and maintenance of the entire area. When our breaker kept flipping during our stay, we called the office and within 5-10 minutes, maintenance arrived at our site to fix the issue. They were incredibly kind and understanding about the situation. Overall, we couldn't have asked for a better experience, and we will definitely be returning in the future.

The campground is really nice, and the staff has been extremely friendly and accommodating. The activities are organized really well. The kids absolutely adore the pool, and the bath houses are always spotless. The beach access is fantastic, and they even provide lovely picnic tables at each site. The concrete pads are a definite upgrade compared to the gravel ones at other campgrounds. The only thing I would suggest is having pull-through sites, but I understand that you can't have everything. Thank you for a wonderful and relaxing week.
