Ainsdale beach

It's a nice place to relax with family and friends and have a barbecue and picnic. You can park on the beach for £10 all day, but it's half price after 4pm. You can also park your camper van there and enjoy the calmness of the beach, which is quite different from Blackpool pleasure beach. It's recommended to bring your own food as there is no canteen or cafe on site, but there might be one in the nearby amusement park. If there's no space available, you can park for free on the left street just before entering the beach. The coast guard is present on the beach to handle any emergencies. Don't forget to bring your parasol, chairs, and other picnic essentials as there is plenty of space to set up your own picnic area. Also, bring your sports equipment to have some fun. Sometimes the tide goes out and you might have to walk a mile to reach the water.

What a beautiful beach! You have the option to park directly on the beach for £10, or you can choose to park at a nearby small carpark, a bit further up towards the Ainsdale and Birkdale Sandhills LNR at the Sand Hills Nature Trail. The carpark operates on a pay and display system, and it cost us £2.10 for 5 hours. The beach is well-maintained, with plenty of clean public toilets available. The water and sand are absolutely gorgeous.

The beach was absolutely amazing, even though I visited during low tide. It was truly a wonderful experience walking towards it. The parking area was spacious, although quite pricey.

One of the top beaches to visit in the northwest. It's best to arrive early and avoid paying £10 for beach parking, which is quite expensive. Instead, just before reaching the beach, take a left turn and follow the road down to find free parking. I have discovered crabs in the small pools of water that remain after the tide recedes, and there are also small shrimps and flat fish in the water. The beach remains unspoiled by oil, and there are plenty of sand dunes to explore. Lifeguards are present for added peace of mind. Many people walk their dogs here, and it's also a great spot for children. Make sure to bring all your beach equipment and consider setting up a tent for shade, as you might end up spending a few hours here. Keep in mind that during the day, the tide can recede quite far, so be prepared to walk a mile or two to reach the sea. Kiting and boating are very popular activities, especially in May when the weather is warm and breezy. Toilet facilities are available at the entrance and are free to use during the season. On a clear day, you can enjoy views of Blackpool Tower in the distance, as well as the Welsh mountains and the occasional ferry passing by.

We had a lovely day at the beach, creating memories with the children. It was convenient to park right on the beach for £10, and only £5 after 4pm. There was plenty of space, and having easy access to our car was especially helpful with the kids. We noticed several bins available for disposing of rubbish, and although we didn't explore the cafes much, we did see some while parking the car. It was delightful to see horses on the beach and enjoy ice cream from the van. The beach itself was a beautiful stretch with a stunning sunset.
