The trek from Lulworth to Durdle Door, spanning just over a mile, is an absolute must-do for its sheer beauty. If you're a nature enthusiast, then this stunning beach with its breathtaking rock formations, charming cottages, and picturesque scenery is a must-visit destination. It's an ideal spot for a perfect day out, provided the weather is on your side. However, parking can be a bit of a hassle, especially if you arrive late. Plus, you'll have to pay for parking regardless of when you arrive. The walk from the parking area to the cove itself takes about five minutes, so it's worth taking a leisurely stroll through the lovely village area on your way down. It's best to wear sea shoes or regular footwear since sandals aren't the most practical option for the beach. Also, the beach can get quite crowded at the beginning, so if you're looking for a peaceful spot, you'll need to venture a bit further around the cove. Additionally, there are plenty of stones on the beach that are perfect for skimming across the water. And if you're lucky enough to find a quiet area, it's an excellent spot for a picnic.

A wonderful destination to explore with numerous cafes, pubs, and dining options available. The beach itself is not sandy, but rather a vast expanse of pebbles that can be a bit challenging to traverse. If you're feeling adventurous, you can embark on a steep hike to Durdle Door, but be warned that it may be too difficult for young children. Alternatively, you can drive there in just three minutes and use the same parking ticket for both locations. A four-hour stay costs only £5, while a full day costs £10.

The beach was nothing but a disappointment. The scenery was lackluster and unimpressive. I have no desire to return. The guided swim out to Stair Hole was mediocre at best. I would not recommend this beach to anyone, especially if you enjoy swimming, kayaking or paddle boarding.

Visiting the beach was definitely worth it, even though it was quite crowded as anticipated. The charming village was adorned with stunning cottages and delightful shops. However, due to the holiday rush, we decided not to grab a bite to eat. The beach itself was composed of pebbles rather than sand and was bustling with people. Nonetheless, we ventured to the perimeter of the cove where we found a peaceful spot. Additionally, we embarked on the Jurassic coast walk and explored the fossil forest, which was an enjoyable experience. The weather was perfect, making the walk a picturesque one.
