If you're looking to get bitten by bed bugs, be ignored by the staff, and spend weeks getting rid of the bed bugs you brought back, then this beach is the place for you. Our large party stayed in multiple rooms that were far apart on different floors, and unfortunately, many of the rooms had bed bugs.
When we informed the reception about the bites we found on one of us, they sent a regular worker (not a professional) to our room. He quickly checked the mattress and, using Google translate, assured us that everything was fine. He only vacuumed the floor and claimed to have found just one dead ant (which I had already vacuumed!). Despite our request, he even refused to change our pillows.
The following days were a nightmare for us. We spent our vacation sleepless, constantly getting bitten and desperately searching for pharmacies in the city to help us. We even spotted someone secretly carrying a backpack filled with pesticide to the kitchen and spa area, but they never treated our rooms. To make matters worse, we discovered a live bed bug in a medicine case that we had placed in the drawer next to the bed (see photo). It was absolutely disgusting and traumatizing!
In hindsight, it's no surprise that the hotel had bed bugs. The cleaning staff never once vacuumed our room, changed the sheets, or bothered to replenish the toilet paper or soap. The sheets and towels, especially the decorative pillows and spa/pool towels, were filthy and emitted a foul odor. We had to explicitly ask the cleaning lady for soap, and even then, she reluctantly added a small amount to the dispenser before quickly leaving with the tip.
The hotel itself was in a rundown condition, with water and sewage leaking from various pipes both in the lobby and in our room. In the lobby, there were multiple spots with ceiling leaks, and they only had one bucket placed under one of the leaks!
This was by far the worst hotel I have ever stayed in, and even without the bed bug experience, I would never consider returning. But the bed bug situation took it to a whole new level of horror.
