During our stay from 3-6 September, we experienced the stunning beach of this hotel in Selimiye. However, it was disappointing to see such a beautiful property being managed so poorly. The level of service was non-existent. It was a stroke of luck to find even one staff member to take an order, as there seemed to be no one on duty. The absence of a bartender meant no drinks were available at the bar, and there was a noticeable lack of service personnel or a manager to address any concerns. We resorted to buying water ourselves from a nearby store as it was not provided. We opted to dine outside for all our meals, fortunately avoiding the need to eat at the hotel. The breakfast lacked tomatoes and milk, despite a market being just 100 meters away. It was evident that the hotel was winding down for the season, and we later discovered that it had changed ownership. The overall maintenance of the property was lacking, with fallen flowers and leaves scattered around without being cleaned for days. On a positive note, the rooms were spacious and comfortable, and the cleaning was satisfactory. However, the breakfast was average at best. Given the overall experience, I would not consider staying here again.

We spent our time at the hotel from 3-6 September, and I must say the location is quite lovely. The rooms were satisfactory, and the cleanliness was acceptable, despite only two people managing the entire hotel. However, there were some notable issues. The hotel is of medium size and features a pier for boats. This means there are two servers, one bartender, and a young man who assists with boat-related tasks. Unfortunately, there is no option to order drinks from your seat while on holiday. The lack of cocktails, beer, gin, or whiskey (although they are complimentary 😊😊) was disappointing. Additionally, half of the meals were rather average, and there were no tomatoes available for breakfast 😄. The absence of staff to assist, no bartender at the bar, and the missing young man were concerning. It seems like the hotel may be changing ownership soon, as the employees hinted at its possible closure. There was no one available to address any issues we encountered. If you prefer minimal service and are content with dining out, including breakfast, you may be satisfied for now. However, if things continue at this pace, there may be cleanliness issues in the future... Be cautious!

We were extremely satisfied with the location and amenities provided. The ocean views were stunning, and having dinner at the restaurant on the pier, surrounded by water, was a truly unique experience. While the weather in Selimiye was quite humid, the Big Poseidon hotel offered a refreshing and uncrowded atmosphere. The entire staff, with a special mention to the Hotel Manager Mr. Mert, was incredibly attentive. I highly recommend this destination for anyone planning a trip to Selimiye. Save yourself the hassle and take a leisurely 5-10 minute walk to the city center. Avoid driving into the village as the traffic is notoriously bad, making it nearly impossible to find parking.

Approximately 4 years ago, we visited this place with our 6-month-old baby. Just last week, we had the chance to enjoy a vacation with our 4.5-year-old child. To start, this hotel stands out as the top choice in Selimiye for families looking for a relaxing seaside and pool experience. The highlight of the hotel, in my opinion, is the restaurant. The chef's culinary skills surpass those of other establishments in Selimiye. Regrettably, the main downside of the hotel is the consistently delayed service. Despite having an adequate number of staff members, there appears to be a lack of organization resulting in prolonged wait times for any food or drink orders. This issue can be quite exhausting for guests, especially after enjoying such delicious meals during dinner. It seems that there is a noticeable lack of attention to detail throughout the hotel. I am planning to return to the hotel at the beginning of August. Following my next visit, I will provide an updated review.
