Mee Sook Beach

Upon arrival, visitors are required to pay an entrance fee of 100 baht and are then confronted with a distressing sight of animals confined in small spaces. These animals include elephants, large lizards, eagles, snakes, and a crocodile, all cramped together. It is evident that the elephants are brought to the beach solely for tourists to capture photos, which is far from their natural habitat. Regrettably, we felt a sense of guilt knowing that our entrance fee contributed to the support of this distressing animal circus. Our initial purpose of visiting was to enjoy snorkeling; however, we were disappointed to find a scarcity of fish and a complete absence of coral. Additionally, the beach was littered with plastic bottles and other plastic waste. On a positive note, the restaurant appeared pleasant, although we chose not to dine there.

I have visited this beach many times over the past few years, and it used to be quite enjoyable. The staff were always kind and accommodating. The entrance fee was 200 baht for two people, and there were no additional charges. This fee included access to a sun bed and shower. However, the current situation has changed. Now, in addition to the 200 baht entrance fee, there is an extra charge of 200 baht for the sun bed. The atmosphere has become unpleasant, with rude and loud people. The noise level is quite high, making it difficult to relax. Furthermore, the shower is broken, and even if you pay, you are not allowed to bring food to the sun bed. Instead, you are forced to eat in the noisy lobby. Because of these negative experiences, I will not be returning to this beach. I recommend exploring other, better options in Phuket.

We enjoy coming here to observe elephants playing in the ocean. The shuttle bus ride to the beach costs 100 baht, but the road is not too steep. It's a pleasant way to spend a couple of hours, and the staff is very friendly.

The beach offers a private setting and has a restaurant where you can enjoy a meal. Additionally, there is an opportunity to take photos with an elephant, but there is a fee associated with it. Please note that there is an entrance fee to access the beach, and transportation is provided to take you down to the beach area.

This beach is a small and cozy spot where you have the option to have a photo shoot with elephants for 1,500 Baht. Unlike Patong Beach, which offers a stunning view, there isn't much to do here without coral shoes as the entire bottom is covered in corals. Even with the shoes, you'll have to walk quite a distance to swim. Without them, you can only go waist-deep or relax in the water near the shore. However, you won't encounter the same crowds as in the neighboring Paradise beach, which can be reached by walking over stones. The prices at the bar are reasonable. Upon entering, there is an entrance fee of 100 Baht per person, and an additional 100 Baht for the cheapest sunbed. You can take a taxi from Patong for 300 baht, but on the way back, we were asked for 400. If you're not interested in a photo session with elephants, there isn't much to do here.
