Playa Rio Verde is the perfect place for a quiet getaway - unless, of course, you're visiting during the peak months of July and August, when the number of visitors increases. Even then, the beach remains relatively peaceful. You'll find plenty of stones on the shoreline, though the waves may occasionally sweep them away. It's also quite deep, making it one of the deepest beaches in Marbella.
In terms of amenities, you can get all the services you need here - restaurants, lifeguard service, showers, footbaths, toilets, and hammock and umbrella rentals. For water sports, it's alright - you can enjoy Paddle Surfing in peace, and there's a designated area for Kitesurfing at Ancón beach. Surfers, however, should look elsewhere - it takes quite a few big waves to find a good peak.
