Portoroz beach

The riviera is absolutely stunning and full of life, creating a delightful atmosphere. There are plenty of shops and fantastic restaurants to explore. However, it is worth noting that parking comes at a cost (1.5 EUR per hour until 22:00). To make this task easier, I highly recommend using the EasyPark app. When it comes to the beaches, I was slightly let down. The only options available are city beaches that aren't particularly great or stone beaches located beneath towering cliffs. Overall, it requires some searching and driving around. In the end, we decided to visit Fiesa Beach near Piran, which turned out to be quite enjoyable for sunbathing and snorkeling. It even provided some excitement as I spotted a squid, something I had never seen before even during my time in Bali.

Portorož is conveniently situated near other well-known places in Slovenia, including the charming town of Piran and the breathtaking Postojna Cave. It is also within easy driving distance of neighboring countries like Italy and Croatia, making it an ideal starting point for exploring the broader region. In general, Portorož provides a blend of stunning natural scenery, wellness options, and a vibrant ambiance, which makes it a favored destination for both unwinding and engaging in recreational activities on the Slovenian coast.

This beach is a stunning location for capturing vacation photos, and the entire path is paved, making it easy to explore the seaside, observe animals, and enjoy nature. Along the coastline, you'll find a wide variety of bars and shops, as well as numerous spots to bring your swimming gear and go for a dive.

There's a lovely seaside promenade lined with numerous restaurants and cafes. No matter where you choose to relax after a pleasant stroll, you'll be treated to a stunning vista.

I wouldn't necessarily classify it as a beach, but it does offer opportunities for sunbathing and taking a dip in the water from the piers. Additionally, there are restroom facilities available, although it's worth noting that they may not always be open. In that case, you could try using the restroom designated for disabled individuals. It's also possible to find a place to sit and enjoy a drink. There are several similar beaches scattered around Portoroz, but this particular one lacks the same level of sophistication as the one with the Medusa restaurant. While there is no entrance fee to access the area on foot, you will be charged for any other amenities or services. If you've had the chance to visit beaches in Croatia or places like Jesolo or Tel-Aviv, this location is likely to be disappointing in comparison. However, if you have lower expectations, it might still suffice.
