Roche Percée beach is located around a 10-minute drive from Néra bridge, after taking a left at the fork from Noumea. It's definitely a beach worth visiting in the area, especially since the iconic "bonhomme de Bourail" can be found there. However, if you plan on swimming, it's best to stay away from the man due to the dangerous currents and waves. Nonetheless, the beach is still a great spot to watch the waves crash with the man in the background. The location is quite pleasant and is a favorite among photographers. Sitting on the beach during sunset is particularly calming, and the view is truly breathtaking at that time of day. If you visit the beach during turtle nesting season (November-February), make sure to follow regulations regarding lights and fires at night and check out the supervised activities offered by the aquarium of the lagoons and the Bwärä Tortues Marines association during this time.
