Meeru Island Resort

This island is truly incredible for a getaway. The oceanfront and overwater bungalows were exceptional, each featuring luxurious jacuzzis. The staff is incredibly friendly and hospitable. The variety of dishes offered at the buffet meals was truly impressive! The island is quite spacious, offering numerous activities and picturesque spots to explore. The speedboat resembled a small yacht, complete with air conditioning, comfortable seating, wifi, and complimentary water, making for a delightful experience. The only area for improvement could be the inclusion of more complimentary amenities. Most activities, such as non-motorized water sports, badminton, tennis, golf, and bicycle rentals, come at an additional cost. However, the complimentary buggies provided for island exploration help make up for the paid bicycle rentals.

Our stay at this resort was truly exceptional. From the moment we arrived until our departure, everything was expertly managed. We opted for a waterfront beach villa for 2 nights and a Jacuzzi overwater villa for 1 night. Both accommodations were spacious, well-equipped, and meticulously maintained. All amenities in the rooms, including the TV and entertainment systems, were in perfect working order. The rooms were regularly cleaned and checked. The staff members were consistently cheerful and eager to assist whenever needed. A standout moment was when they promptly came to the aid of a couple in distress in the sea. The culinary experience was a highlight of our stay. We had chosen the full board plan, which covered all three meals of the day. Initially, we were skeptical about being assigned to a specific buffet restaurant, but the variety, quality, and service at the restaurant exceeded our expectations. Each dinner featured a different theme, such as Spanish or Mexican cuisine. Additionally, there were separate Indian vegetarian dishes available at every meal. The resort offered numerous picturesque spots for photography and leisurely walks. Our favorite spots were the coconut tree with a swing and the tip of the water villas on the west side. In terms of amenities, indoor games were complimentary, but most other facilities and equipment incurred additional charges, which we found somewhat inconvenient. Basic amenities like cycling, tennis, and badminton should ideally be provided free of charge, as guests are unlikely to bring such equipment from their home countries. Overall, our stay was delightful, with the resort's beautiful and expansive grounds, excellent dining options, friendly staff, and comfortable rooms standing out as highlights. The only downside was the extra charges for most amenities and equipment.

All the essentials covered. We were pleased with opting for the all-inclusive package since prices were quite steep and in American currency. If you're without kids, it's advisable to dine at a different buffet eatery, offering both indoor and outdoor seating with stunning ocean vistas. The cuisine remains the same, but this particular restaurant boasts a more organized layout for both seating and buffet options. The staff truly stood out for their exceptional, amiable, and accommodating service.

We are currently enjoying our third day of vacation after arriving on the 11th of September 2023. Our stay in the luxurious Jacuzzi water villa 703 has been truly awe-inspiring. The villa is incredibly spacious and equipped with everything you could possibly need. From the moment we set foot on the island, the staff have been incredibly attentive, friendly, and genuinely wonderful. The food is exceptional, catering to all tastes, and we have no complaints whatsoever. The restaurant staff go above and beyond to meet our every need, working tirelessly to ensure we have the best possible experience. We have truly fallen in love with this island and are already dreading our departure on the 20th. The atmosphere here is incredibly peaceful, calm, and laid-back, with stunning surroundings that leave us in awe. We are already planning our return trip. This vacation is an absolute must-do, and I wholeheartedly recommend Meeru Resort - we simply adore it.
