Gili Lankanfushi Resort

Without a doubt, this is the best hotel I have ever stayed at. The service, food, and infrastructure are simply outstanding. The location is highly convenient, being just a 30-minute speed boat ride from Male airport. The Spa and diving center are also exceptional. With only 40 villas on the island, the experience is truly delightful. It's an eco-friendly resort featuring a natural garden within the island and abundant nature all around. My only minor gripe is the lack of an adults-only area. Depending on the number of children present during your stay and their behavior, it can occasionally be a bit bothersome.

Can I give them 10 stars??? Five just doesn't do it justice! My partner surprised me with a birthday trip to Gili, and I was absolutely blown away! The kindness and graciousness of everyone there made me feel incredibly blessed to experience such a luxurious vacation. Our Mr. Friday, Bobbo, was fantastic, the spa staff were world-class (special shoutout to Ugyen), and our server Thasleem is hands down the best server I've ever met (and I used to train servers—he's leagues ahead of me!). The wine sommeliers are top-notch, and head chef Hari is an absolute delight! The food? Simply the BEST you'll ever have, anywhere in the world, no contest. Normally, I'd be snapping photos of every dish, but here, I was so immersed in the moment that all I wanted to do was savor each bite while taking in the breathtaking view. My partner and I celebrated our love in countless ways, creating memories that will last a lifetime. We stayed for seven days and nights, each one unique and amazing. Their attention to detail is mind-blowing—everything was perfect. We will definitely be returning, and next time, we'll bring more family and friends.

This resort is an absolute gem, perfect for recharging your energy. It's an ideal spot for sea lovers to unwind! The Gili service was a standout feature, keeping our family in high spirits throughout our stay. The hotel team was incredible, with everyone displaying a friendly and polite attitude. The food was a daily delight, rejuvenating us day and night. If any family member wanted something not on the menu, the staff would happily accommodate our requests. The service here is truly exceptional. A major highlight was the vibrant marine life. Stepping out from the villa, we encountered an array of fish species I had never seen in my 40+ years. We even spotted a baby shark and a tiger stingray, which I swam alongside for two consecutive days, among many other fascinating fish. This place is perfect for families or couples. We absolutely loved it and will definitely return!

Skip Gili and opt for another resort. It's surprising that no one mentions the constant motor noise from passing boats and jet skis from neighboring islands. You can't relax on the villa deck without hearing the buzzing sound. The island's location is terrible. This resort is just so stressful, which defeats the purpose of traveling to the Maldives. The reservation team messed up our booking and didn't provide the villa we requested. They make you fill out a form with your preferences before arrival, but they don't even bother to look at it. The only impressive thing about this place is the food. I wouldn't bother with Gili. There are many better options out there.

I usually don’t write reviews, but for this resort, I have to make an exception. I would give 10 stars for the service staff, especially Mr. Friday (Alif). He made our family vacation seamlessly perfect, becoming our best friend who could help with anything, always assuring us that it was possible. I also give 10 stars for safety. This hotel always has a guard boat ready to assist you at the snorkeling site, so you don’t have to worry if you want to go alone or if you get too tired to swim back—just raise your hand to call the boat. To conclude my review, I highly recommend this resort for anyone seeking a perfect vacation for a large family or group of friends. The biggest villa in Gili Lankanfushi is the ideal place to accommodate everyone and ensure a fantastic holiday.
